If the US want to remain the leader in the new multipolar world, one thing they cannot afford anymore is complacency, ie lack of accountability and meritocracy, gender ideology, etc, as well as all the crazy stuff that has been the trademark of recent liberal democracies. Trump gets this, Europe still hasn't woken up to that new reality, and it desperately should, very quickly, before it's too late.
