Dumb noob question. I'm trying to ssh into my Start9 server using my ip address. I am being asked for my password. My general server password does not work. Any advice appreciated.

It must be the SSH password.

That's what I thought, but I entered no passphrase, simply enter. When I am prompted now, simply pressing enter does not work.

I don't think SSH works without a password, you have to set up a new key pair. I've never tried it with start9 but the link I shared explains how to create it.

Just now! Weird timing. I guess I wasn't the only one with the issue. I always feel better after seeing others on help forums with the same problem. Makes me feel like less of a fool.

In the machine you’re ssh’ing from, are you sure you’re using the right private key? It may not be actually using that identity to ssh and then falling back to username password
