2025 has arrived, and I decided to make several changes in my life. The most important one was diving headfirst into the world of Bitcoin and discovering how wonderful this invention is.
Another urgent change I needed to make was taking care of my weight. I spent all of 2024 weighing 125 kg and felt firsthand the difficulties of carrying that extra weight. I’m a tall man, and at first glance, I didn’t look that heavy, but that couldn’t be an excuse. The impact became even more evident at the end of the year during soccer matches and other sports—I could no longer keep up with people my age, and everything felt more exhausting.
So, I set a clear goal for the year: to lose 30 kg. From the start, I knew it wouldn’t be easy, especially since my diet was based on a lot of fatty meat, rice, beans, and practically no vegetables or greens. The first and, so far, the only step I took toward achieving this goal was a complete dietary reeducation. I significantly reduced the amount of food in each meal and started managing my meal intervals more effectively.
Before, my breakfast was heavy, with bread, processed meats, cakes, and cheese. Lunch followed the same pattern, with a large plate of food, and at night, I usually opted for fast food. Today, my eating routine has changed completely:
• For breakfast, I have whole wheat bread with chicken or eggs, along with unsweetened coffee.
• For lunch, I still have a filling meal, but now with lots of vegetables and lean protein.
• In the afternoon, I go for natural yogurt with sweetener, fruit, or whole wheat bread with eggs.
• For dinner, I choose a yeast-free pasta with some protein.
With these changes, I have lost 12 kg since January 8. I know that without exercising, my weight loss may slow down, but I will soon find an activity to support the process. @ recommended Yoga to me, and I’ll give it a try.
Now, a month and a half in, I’m amazed at how much my eating habits have changed. I don’t feel like I’m going through a bad process or eating horrible things—on the contrary, I’m actually enjoying my meals.
I think I’ll use this space as a journal to stay motivated and, who knows, maybe even inspire others to do the same.
