Had to post this one later in the day because my son continued his ringette tournament today and he had an early morning game. That means I can't go on my usual Sunday early morning run and had to do it in the afternoon instead. My son scored 4 goals and had a 2 assists (the other team was weak), so that was a great experience. Anyways, here are this week's stats:
Tuesday - 9.3km - 6:27/km pace
Saturday - 6km - 6:14/km pace
Sunday - 18km - 6:07/km pace
Weekly total: 33.3km
Alcohol consumption: None
How it felt this week:
Still feeling slightly sick, although much better compared to last week. Work had been busy, averaging 10hr-11hr work days, and dragging tired legs to runs don't help improve my pace. I'm glad my son had his ringette tournament on Saturday, which gave me a reason to take Saturday off. Having the extra day off improved my Sunday long run's pace to just over 6 minutes per kilometer. Looking forward to the day I break 6 minutes and get into 5s. Hopefully it will happen sooner than later. Overall felt pretty good compared to last week. Although not yet fully recovered, but being less sick always feels better than being more sick. Still haven't done a 20km+ run yet. Aiming to get that done next week.
I've decided to add a count down timer to add some urgency to the training. Weeks before race day: 11 weeks.
