Nonsense.
Democracy is where all adult citizens get a vote in the election of their government. Just because this is often corrupted by corporate sponsorship and citizens apathy does not make the underlying ethos of democracy faulty- it shows how humans are generally incapable of even the smallest amount of voluntary participation required to prevent rentseeking parasites from attaching to any form of government they live under.
There will always be parasites who will prey upon the large body of the group given half a chance - but without the groups and collective power you are simply prey with no protection.
There is no example in present or history of the naive idealism you adhere to because it is unworkable.
Democracy is where all adult citizens get a vote in the election of their government.
Now consider what happens to the people who lose the election: They are now at the mercy of the winners of the election, which is the exact outcome of your previous "strongest steal and enslave the weak" fears.
In order to prevent the strongest from stealing and enslaving the weak, democracy must be abolished.

Democracy also requires freedom of speech and a contest of ideas- the winners of elections are those whose proposals were supported by a majority of those who exercised their vote.
You offer no viable alternative to democracy- because these is no other system which solves the problem of government better than democracy can.
Instead you espouse a cynicism that undermines democracy as democracy does rely upon the voluntary participation of enough citizens in order to remain healthy- in contrast your cynicism plays into the very hands of the corporate lobbyist parasites who have undermined democracy in so many nations.

I do have a viable alternative to democracy: Freedom
We already know freedom succeeds in practice, in the real world, thanks to the true story of Bitcoin: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iIWViimqRMU

Freedom is not a form of government.
Bitcoin is not a form of government.
Democracy where people participate can maximise the freedom of citizens while preserving their security.
You cannot suggest a better form of government.
reply
Freedom is the absence of government.

No that's anarchy and chaos. There are some places where you will find very little if any government present- you could go there~ but you would be too scared for your own safety and comfort. Within 24 hours you would be begging to go home to a nice warm blanket, the rule of law, a Big Mac and a Coke. You do not understand how important governments are to the security and wealth of nations and citizens who live under their protection.
