It'll surely play it's part along with other points such as the decline of the average male's test-levels, but I think the biggest reason for the decline in relationships / higher divorce rates is that modern women simply don't need a man like they did before our beloved boomers were a thing.
All the less needed, because young men don't even have an advantage in jar opening.
