They are totally wrong.
nostr is not social media, is a protocol that can be used for many other things, for example nostr markets.
SN could be the replacement of the old defunct Bitcoin Talk and r/reddit where peaopl can talk in another way.

Common use case of nostr for most people is the same as SN. It's just another form of social media as far as most people are concerned.
