I have coinos but I've never explored the possibility. When you say on-chain, do you mean L1 transactions or LN<->L1 swaps? /cc @Alby @adam_coinos_io

As far as I know, you can't do swaps on Alby. When I tried, it redirected me to Boltz. I haven't tried it with Coinos yet, but I think it should be the same, right?

We have integrated swaps in the 1.14 version, however it's not officially released yet!

In coinos are integrated, in house, on the fly. You are not redirected. You pay with the balance on both directions, onchain and LN.
As you do in WoS, Blink.

A dilemma and a barrier to entry for newcomers like me is understanding and choosing a wallet. I started off on the wrong foot with Alby—my mistake—I tried to rush things. Then, I followed the general recommendation to start with WoS, even though for my small transactions, it's more than enough. I also understand that the sats there aren’t truly mine since I don’t have the seeds.
I think I’ll even write about this in my Brave New World lol.

based on my limited understanding, sats are really yours only if you run your own node. Is that what you meant?
