I don't know much about the Kennedy Center but I do know this. It can exist without stolen money to support it. Here's a concept we could try.
If you want to support the Kennedy Center or whatever project with tax dollars you check a box for it. If you don't check the box you keep that money. Or even more simple. Just remove all funding for stuff like this and let the rich elites support it that care so much about it. They can write checks for it all.
If you disagree... great. You can pay for it with your money instead of using everyone's money.
You know, the people will is often used as a reason for doing stuff. How about the people put their money where their mouth is? You think PBS is important. You use your money. I think whatever is important I use my money. What a concept right?
I remember a few years ago, when Planned Parenthood's federal funding was under scrutiny, someone breaking down the cost per Democrat. It turned out that a measly $5 per constituent would more than cover the shortfall. But, no, we have to fight about it and force people to pay for things they find abhorrent.
