I read this chart and think... yeah private companies can't do anything. We need governments.

Yeah I know Elon gets a ton of money from the government to do this, but if governments are so efficient why do they need to hire companies to make and pilot these crafts? Been reading a bunch of pro-government stuff and its interesting to me how people cannot imagine a world where private companies do the things governments now. Sure, its not as simple as some people may say but is it not possible? That's a stretch to me.

It shows that elon musk is putting his money where his mouth is. If you have ever looked at how hard it was to fund SpaceX, you would know musk almost bankrupted himself trying to launch his first rocket. Goes to show how perseverance makes things happen. Money helps, too.
