I was browsing the site analytics, trying to figure out the "total volume" of sats on this platform. @koob is there a place to see this number?
I found this post via search #35583 but it had an outdated link. Digging around the site I found https://stacker.news/users/forever but it only has weekly and monthly data, not total data. I guess I could add up all the months manually.

Difficult to quantify, because what about people who deposit their own sats and gift to their own accounts? I saw someone tip themselves like a million sats once.
Anyway, of actual different people between eachother? Maybe 5-10 million if I had to guess. Altogether including between the same person? Probably 20 million sats

I believe the number is over 25 million sats, but good idea to make it more visible

another way maybe use the data in this page: https://stacker.news/top/users?when=forever

It's open source, you can check the current algo on github.

This has been explained before, it's a combination of a few things, how early you tipped a post that blew up, how much you tipped, how much trust you have as a user. Etc

I was wondering this as well
I would think at least 25-30M

Related: does SN have one node? Two? More? This would be an interesting fact

Dunno, but here’s a couple more to circulation.
Also, sats.get();

Is this the main section of the stacker news algorithm? https://github.com/stackernews/stacker.news/blob/master/worker/trust.js
