It occurs to me that bitcoiners will increasingly feel an impetus to involve themselves in various grand works that move civilization forward in ways that the time preferences of fiat have failed to pursue. ...but taking such action carelessly will slow down bitcoinization for nothing: I would assert the the Pineapple Fund was one such waste, over 5k bitcoin to various charities... and what was the benefit of that? Did any of the recipients hodl as they spent? Probably not.
Today, capital investment is not really investment, but mostly inflation avoidance, and also being invested with principal-agent problem. The majority of capital is controlled and allocated by what are in effect various representative of the fiat communist party.
One approach is to do nothing, hodl, and die hodling and consuming, not being part of the world directly other than as a consumer... but technology means that people who take sly, roundabout approaches can see certain things enacted in the world in spite of fiat foolishness. Consider that even after fiat hits zero, there could be substantial foolishness to be bled from the world through some rounds of capital misallocation where 80% of the retardation takes a century to end.
If you want to reshape the world, you cannot simply wait for the fixing of everything because your time is finite, and you might value certain things being fixed ahead of others.
So we return to the question, how will whales find technologists who wish to build great works with a low time preference, incongruous with 1st order fiat optimization that impedes the necessary activity? Now, it might begin by asking who has achieved certain global superlatives at the foundations of aerospace, materials, and manufacturing, who through that experience realized the errors of fiat in a visceral way even those who came before him do not quite understand. The sort of person who has been saying for 6 years that one day they would come to bitcoiners to return to his work.
Such a person might then post on StackerNews in an indirect way after coming up with a vision for the nonprofit research institution to continue the work at the foundations of civilization, so that the post may be slightly less on the nose, but probably still ends up being somewhat gauche due to high functioning autism. Such a person may already be engaging with a handful of relevant people, but only know a few of the few hundred relevant people. Such a person's handle on X might be @DeltaClimbs.
Of course, this is only one case, and it may be solved inherently because I did recognize the meta reality well in advance of anyone in a remotely similar position in industry. ...but I am a single man, and though I may represent a sort of Schelling point, I cannot fix and do everything myself, or even a small fraction, regardless of how valuable certain materials manufacturing primitives may be. When everyone knows the bitcoiners have all the capital, how can information efficiently be disseminated -- even here the people who might imagine they will one day reshape civilization will not know the correct next step is to reach out to me, despite the fact that it is plainly obvious no one else is out here making the claims I am making. Whether they are true and verifying them is a separate matter. I am alone here... arguably more alone than you were, unless you are one of maybe 10 people.
One day you will understand, Bitcoin fixes things in particular ways, and I stand at the chokepoint. I don't know why ended up here, but I'm here now.
Or, just wait a century, we will both be dead, and someone else will eventually build all the things that do not get built now.
