There are 3 phases of the Bolshevik revolution:
phase 1: 1917 February revolution which occurred in March (Russia used the outdated Julian calendar)
phase 2: 1917 October revolution which occurred in November
phase 3: civil war, Reds vs Whites, 1917 - 22
