I heard a crazy rumor that the new Dallas ownership is tanking the team on purpose to put the Texas legislature under the gun to legalize sports betting so they can build a sands casino (The outfit the purchased the team from Cuban) there. If not they will move to Vegas.
If Davis is out for a long time, phase one of this diabolical plan is in the works.
