Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy pored over a once-classified map of vast deposits of rare earths and other critical minerals during an interview with Reuters on Friday, part of a push to appeal to Donald Trump's penchant for a deal.
The U.S. president, whose administration is pressing for a rapid end to Ukraine's war with Russia, said on Monday he wanted Ukraine to supply the U.S. with rare earths and other minerals in return for financially supporting its war effort.

I'd be a hell of a lot happier spending money if we're buying something instead of just flushing it down a toilet. Ideally though, I'd be happier if that war just ended.

Is he offering something he actually possesses and can offer up? I understand that all of the goodies are under the territory the Russians will not ever be giving up. And, if the Russians take Odessa, Ukraine will not even be able to use the sea for shipping grain, what little grain growing territory that will remain in their control. So, what is he offering? To me it looks like he is offering blue skies and fairy tales.

I will make a bet that he will not even be able to make it to his mansions in Europe or Florida before he gets Gadafied or Husseined. Hasn’t he been involved with the Bi-Dens and Clintons? Survival chances are looking pretty bleak.
