I have met some scary chihuahuas in my day. They are tiny, but when you're facing a bare toothed growl from one of these guys they are intimidating. Over the years I have met a bunch of friendly chihuahuas that have made me come to appreciate the breed.

That's a common look, from my experience.
I am not a fan of chihuahuas but my wife’s mom had 3 of them and they were all very sweet. After my wife’s mom died we considered taking the last surviving dog back to Canada with us but thought the trip back from Texas would be too hard for him. He ended up having to be put down a couple months later. He was old and was very sad after my wife’s mom passed.
Sad story
Yeah. I have a beautiful pic of the dog curled up beside my daughter on my father in law’s couch. My daughter was only three at the time and the dog was quite small too.
