I have nothing against someone’s personal choice

I'm past the point of even conceding this. I do have a problem with their personal choice because their ideology explicitly dictates that I must be forced to:

  • Pay for their personal choice with my dollars (publicly funded gender transitions)
  • Acknowledge the legitimacy of their personal choice with my words (pronouns, etc.)
  • Limit my freedom to disassociate with them because of their personal choice

So yes I have a problem with their personal choice.

We can parse the group of true trans (gender dysphoric) from those caught up in a political social contagion.

There have always been gender dysphoric individuals and harassing people into acknowledging them was not the norm. I see no reason to have a problem with these folks.

The latter group, though, is more of an obnoxious outgrowth of our obnoxious culture. Those partaking in it are fair game for us to scorn.
