The Central Intelligence Agency offered buyouts to its entire workforce on Tuesday, citing an aim to bring the agency in line with Donald Trump’s priorities, the Wall Street Journal and CNN have reported.
The US spy agency is also freezing the hiring of job applicants already given a conditional offer, the WSJ reported, quoting an aide to CIA director John Ratcliffe.
The aide, not named in the report, said some of those frozen offers were likely to be rescinded if the applicants did not have the right background for the agency’s new goals, which include targeting drug cartels, Trump’s trade war and undermining China.

This is so interesting. I don't recall anything like this happening in my lifetime. None of my fundamental views have changed on the state, politics, or Trump but this sure is interesting to watch.
I can't help but remember the Hitler comparisons and they just seem more and more absurd. Lazy commentators and "historians" always trying to use the big boogie man to scare people. Trump is a different animal for sure.
He's an amoral realist with a business mindset rolling through DC like a bull in a China shop. And when I say business I mean that in all the good and bad ways.

I dont think this is a bad idea, to minimize the government. Also, which president doesnt put their own people in office? Calling them loyalists seems biased. I am interested in hearing more about the agencys new goals, and how they are going to make them happen with a smaller workforce.

This is devastating, without USAID and the CIA who will fund rounds to attack Bitcoin?
