The buds don't look very developed, how long until harvest? Indica or sativa?
this territory is moderated
It will take about a month for the buds to fully develop. Once they're fully matured, we can cut them, let them dry for a few days, and then we can store.

With a month to go, you shouldn't expect very big buds. You don't know if it's indica, sativa or 50/50?

I am not familiar with the variant, here we simply call it ganja.

6-8 weeks I'd guess
reply
It shouldn't be too long because this is the normal (6 indica, 8 sativa) time for the entire flowering (bloomming) phase.

I was mostly going based on how much of the season remains in the southern hemisphere. 6 is shorter than I'm familiar with unless it's been bred for fast flowering. It's also definitely a sativa dominant strain based on the leaves.
If it's grown from seed the flowering period could be as long as 10 weeks, especially outdoors.
Most people harvest too early too and neglect that the trichromes are immature.

Though it's winter here, there's strong sunshine during the daytime. So, I think it won't take more than a month for them to fully develop. I can already see small grains forming inside. But clearly i don't know about it's variants.

sativa dominant strain based on the leaves.
Good catch! Less leaves and narrower. Whether it's from seed or clones I don't think makes any difference, but you're right about outdoors, it slows down development and takes much longer, especially for sativas.

just use a magnifying glass and look at the color of the trichomes.

more or less tricomes, when the first rains arrive, you have to cut.. you can risk, but its a pain to lose many plants to mold
reply
Mold is a big problem, even indoors if there is no good air circulation!
edit: @fm
The best way to tell is to look at the color of the trichomes, I'm not talking about the hairs but the resin.

I mostly meant that seeds are less predictable - genetic lottery and all.

Yes, it's best to buy feminized seeds!
