Please explain what can't be

There's one zapper but the post stacked both CCs and Sats.

  • I understand that someone's just zapped it twice, but this isn't the first time I've seen it.
reply

okay sounds like you figured it out

reply

No, I haven't because it's something that shouldn't happen frequently.

reply

Tell me what and how it should happen then.

reply

If there's one zapper, shouldn't it be either sats or CCs?

reply

No.

Each zap happened at a different time, and lightning network conditions change constantly.

We've talked about dust limits before. I'm sure if you thought about it you might see why that might be responsible.

The amount of sats being routed matters, because fees on lightning are relative to zap amount in addition to an absolute (aka base) fee. Most nodes set base fees to 1 sat and charge 0.2-0.5% of the amount, and a lightning payment can travel across many such nodes. The maximum outgoing fee we'll pay is 3%. Do the math.

Here's all the reasons why CCs happen (which is available for view anytime you receive them):

Ahh, "No" is enough.
But thanks for the detailed response. I hardly got it, lol.
