Nice one. I'm taking the under.
I noticed that there are a bunch of markets that are "closed" but not "resolved". Does that mean they haven't paid out?
Yes, "closed" - means not paid out yet. I wanted to talk to you about it. Can you please help me resolve the sports markets, not very familiar with the results. Here are the closed ones:
https://beta.predyx.com/market/chiefs-win-afc-championship https://beta.predyx.com/market/bills-win-afc-championship https://beta.predyx.com/market/ravens-win-afc-championship https://beta.predyx.com/market/lions-win-nfc-championship https://beta.predyx.com/market/jamarr-chase-wins-top-flex-2024 https://beta.predyx.com/market/celtics-win-emirates-nba-cup https://beta.predyx.com/market/birds-of-a-feather-grammy-song-of-the-year
And the other closed ones, I will start resolving it. https://beta.predyx.com/market/major-election-riots-in-2024-2025 - this will resolve to NO.
Sure
The Chiefs won the AFC Championship so
The Lions didn't even make it to the NFC Championship, so "Lions win NFC Championship" resolves "No"
The Bucks won The Emirates Cup, so "Celtics Win Emirates NBA Cup" resolves "No"
I checked a couple of sources for the top flex outcome and both had Jamarr Chase with the highest score, but they also had different totals for him. I'd like to defer to @Public_N_M_E for whether Chase was the leading Flex player this past season.
It looks like "Not Like Us" won Song of the Year at the Grammy's, so "Birds of a Feather Grammy Song of the Year?" should resolve "No".
Didn't matter in the long run 😜 but yes it was chase.
Thanks.
Awesome! Thanks. I will start resolving it.
All the above markets resolved, except Jamarr Chase
Also, should we extend the markets timeline, no FBI director has been picked yet. https://beta.predyx.com/market/kash-patel-fbi-director
That's fine with me. I'll buy some Patel shares.
Ok, I'm going to extend this market then. By when do you think the FBI director will be decided?
I don't know. I haven't seen that it's scheduled yet, but they are starting to work their way through the confirmation votes, so it should be resolved by the end of the month.
ok cool, I extended it to Feb 28th.
The market is open: https://beta.predyx.com/market/kash-patel-fbi-director
What if the white house (trump) states one outcome and other sources, such as MSM, claim the opposite?
Not too familiar with this, is there usually a definite answer to this type of question?
Yes this will be tricky to resolve. I'm sure DOGE will publish some kind of numbers. We will go with majority consensus among the media like MSM, AP, FOX etc.
This predyx thing seems great to me, I need to learn more about these things.
I'm here to help, you need any assistance in understanding the underlying principles for Prediction markets. I think once @south_korea_ln posted a very good youtube video of prediction markets tutorial, can you please share again?
this one i think. You could post it as a sticky in your territory...
The real question is this: will the numbers become real again?
I doubt that, so sure, a trillion here & there will be conjured up...
Real? WTF? The CBO is a boring government org that people think are making up numbers. Why? Who the fuck is saying that and where are their motherfucking sources? Whom are they citing? IF they are citing a GOP or Dem leaning talking head it's complete and utter shit. Basura. Shit and trash. Garbage water doo doo juice with flies buzzing around.
They are motherfucking boring ass accountants that generate fucking "atlases", spreadsheets, standard form documents and documentation. It's not sexy and it's mostly accurate. As accurate as you can make a report given the data available, both public and private. They are non-partisan government worker bees.
Those kids that got an A in your Statistics class? The fucking mouth breathing weirdos? That's them. It's not a conspiracy. Aliens, dyson spheres, cheap fusion and the group of people that claim to be "Big Homie Satoshi" living in a National Lab are better fucking conspiracies.

I think the Elon will definitely do his best not to lie about the numbers, but who knows.
Elon is a fucking idiot who failed upwards. He gets way too much credit. He was born on third base thinking he hit a homer. Sorry for the non-baseball people... LOL
lol, you can count me in as "non-baseball people"
No. Government is a huge beast that eats cash daily. The machine needs oil. That oil is the US dollar. It's myopic to think an outsider to government will come in and make the spending more efficient. Godspeed.
💯
The "Waste" that the pedestrian/normie person who doesn't know how government works is required. Those people and those monies need to be there. Like getting rid of air traffic controllers then complaining about all the new airline crashes happening. People dying due to idiocy which leads to malfeasance and preventable tragedies. Government is supposed to be fucking boring. A fucking bureaucracy. Everyday is a fresh hell of neophytes stumbling around with both thumbs up there ass hummin' the National Anthem... underwater. The Dems are idiots too. Fuck em all.
Yes, I concur. Fuck em all.
Besides, historically Republicans run up the budget/national debt/government spending more than the other side. Ask your favorite chat bot: GOP spends M.O.N.E.Y. All these programs need cash. What is he going to do? Cut the military budget? In the time of cyber warfare and global instability? It's asinine to think those trillions can vanish with some corporate accounting tricks.
I'm not an economist, but you're make a good point here.
