How it felt this week:
This week was tough. First it was Chinese New Year, which threw off my schedule because of family dinners. It also put me on an alcohol consumption slump, also because of family dinners. Then when I was supposed to go for my planned 23km long run, it snowed. And it snowed hard. I still went for it, but only ran close to home instead of going on my big long far loop of 23km. I also had to break up my run into 2 sessions due to nature's calling (I had to pee, so I ran home). Running in the snow while the snow is coming down hard is not fun. Especially not fun when the wind was blowing the snow right into my face. I gave up after 14km as the snow was getting deeper and my steps were getting slower. 9km short of my 23km goal; I guess I'll try again when it's not snowing.
In terms of cardio, I felt quite a bit better compared to last week. I don't feel as winded during and after my runs. My legs though, felt very very tired from work. I've been working mostly 9-10 hour days this week, so it makes sense that my legs are a bit extra tired. I'm hoping the weather gets better so I can go on an actual 20+km long run.
Nice update. A bit better each week.

Actually a bit slower average pace this week. I guess Sunday doesn't count because of the snow. Hopefully see clearly better results in a few weeks. We will see.

Were the dumplings worth it?

I'm from the south, Guangzhou, we don't eat dumplings during Chinese New Year. I think that's a northerner thing.

Damn northerners

Running a marathon is crazy. My dad was a triathlete, he did the iron man. I have respect for anyone that does it.

Much respect to your dad. Iron man is no joke. These guys swim for 3.9km, bike for 180km, then run a full marathon to finish the event. My limit is probably just running the marathon, no chance for me doing the other 2 events.
