Hey there, as a result of the recent SN Media Kit updated, I'll try to create few simple marketing assets for ~Construction_and_Engineering territory to be spread across the web.
Feel free to share in the comments below:
  • Few visual references you'd like the assets to be inspired on
  • If visuals are not your thing, a description of your idea will help too
  • A slogan, or some words/concepts that express the territory's values
@BlokchainB you start, let's see how we go!
Hmmm maybe a construction hard hat with some blueprints/drawings
Also you can use the project management triangle of cost, time, and performance/quality.

I like the idea, yellow construction hat? With SN logo?

Yeah !!

Territory values are
  • the built environment
  • infrastructure
  • funding
Also I want to showcase the cost of these projects in BTC at the current block height. Infrastructure and construction is an industry that needs debt. With out it nothing gets constructed. I want to showcase as bitcoin monetizes the less BTC you need to construct these major infrastructure projects

construction is an industry that needs debt
Not sure is needed, it's mostly a habit and a social construct. If one has the funds, can build straight away. Or I'm wrong?
Anyway, how do you want to showcase the cost of these projects in BTC at the current block height? Do you have any reference or examples on how it could look? Where the data comes from? It's something that need to update every time the asset is used?

Well everything comes down to time. And general contractors need liquidity at a moments notice to pay for labor equipment and materials. Ideally it sounds simple enough just save until you have enough and then start then boom a wood shortage happens the material budget gets busted and if that gets away from you then you have a time delay in which you still have to pay for your Labor and equipment.
Currently I do it like this using bold in markdown like so:
USD/BTC = $99,880 Block 884,679
Data I pull from stacker news and I just use an online calculator to do the usd/btc conversion.
I use the conversion when announcing project costs in BTC terms. So per post it changes but after post it’s static. That is why I note the block height.

Can you share an example post where you use the USD/BTC and Block size?
an online calculator to do the usd/btc conversion SN provides this data too...
Can you also tell me where you plan to use the assets? will be internally for posts or externally to advertise the SN territory? or both?
reply
Yes SN shows the price but they don’t do fiat conversion.
I want to use them everywhere I can. I plan on buying ads and using zaps on podcasts to promote. Maybe even post on YouTube comments

Ok not sure if you want that info in the banners itself. I think it's just fine as you doing it and easy to manage.
Started some mock-ups on figma, check them out and let me know your thoughts
