There's an old song (Hot House Rose by Cole Porter) that I'd like to get the chords to, so I can play it on guitar/ukulele. (This is just one of many that I'd like to get, that I can't otherwise find).
I'd like to get them in this format - https://www.doctoruke.com/_player/inthestillofthenightcp.html - but it doesn't need to be so fancy, just the chord names would work.
I'd like to either
  • pay someone to do this, or
  • learn how to do it myself. I know a little bit about chords, but not enough right now to actually just listen to the song, and write up the chords.
Any thoughts?

Quickest way is to figure out the root movement and form first as a road map and then get into the weeds of what's going on up top. This is actually a great first tune for learning to transcribe. Ignore the intro until you've got the rest of the form mapped out.
I'd happily do it for you, but my experience is that most bitcoiners get traumatic sticker shock when trying to get even simple musical services like this. That said, yeah, you can do this (transcribe it yourself) and every aspect of your playing will improve from it.

Yeah I completely believe that my playing would improve tremendously from trying to transcribe something like this. But I think it would be a pretty big project.
Actually I once took online ukulele lessons from someone who was into this style of music, and has transcribed a lot of songs. I'll bet that I could pay him to walk me through how to do this, OR also just do it for me...

I'm not sophisticated enough to understand which of these tools would do this for me...is there a particular one you're thinking of?
