This dog reminded me a movie I watched at least 15 years ago. It was Smokey and the Bandit and the dog was Fred.

I once had an apartment in a high rise. The building superintendent had an old basset hound. That dog loved to ride on the elevators all day. The first time I got in the elevator and there was only this funny looking dog in there waiting for me to get in was an enjoyable shock. I got used to it. They are lazy, relaxed, and friendly dogs, from what I have seen.
