All 3 of the Cavs star trio are one the All Star Team, with 1 starter and 2 reserves.
Now that all the All Star starters and reserves are announced, who do you think got snub? Who would you replace?
No Raptors but Spicy P made it so close enough.
I was surprised Siakam got in. I guess him holding down the fort while waiting for Haliburton to wake up merits him the spot. But I would actually have liked to see Trae Young get in instead of Siakam, as Young is the NBA assist leader and has better scoring than Siakam. I also would like to see LaMelo Ball get in, but I guess the coaches/judges have a thing against teams with a losing record...
I wanted to see Norman Powell get in the west as well, but don't know who to knock off. Maybe Harden or Ant or Sengun.
Definitely would have been nice to see Norm make it. He is having such a great year.
I think he's the leading scorer on the Clips.
What a great year. He would be perfect for the Thunder. They should trade for him but the Clippers are pretty good so that's not going to happen.
Trae, Lonza, and Doma got snubbed
I'm not sure who is Lonza. But Young being the assist leader and Sabonis being the rebounds leader both definitely should nave been all stars. They're both putting up 20+ points while doing it too. And I think Sabonis is also the double double leader? Absolute highway robbery.
Typo and wrong brother! I was trying to reply as we were starting the pod and I had fetch the kid's blankie for bed.
LaMelo was the leading fan vote recipient and didn't make it at all.
Ah, Lonzo. I think the coaches voted on the reserves and it seems they put winning really high on the scale. That's the only explanation I can find for LaMelo not making the cut.
Strategic all star reserve
Haha. I would argue some reserves are playing better than certain starters.
