Do the Lightning nodes even "know" what they are routing? You can correct my understanding if I'm wrong, but if RGB, Ordinals and whatever else involves heavy smart contracts and a lot of metadata, node runners can see this as "clogging" or "bloating" their channel state. (After all, a channel state is essentially a mutually-agreed on-chain closing transaction, so it must include all the "garbage" that was moved through the pipe.)

What does RGB on lightning mean, and how can an end-user use it to their advantage?

RGB is a confidential smart contracts system for Bitcoin & Lightning Network that uses client side validation to provide those advantages: increased privacy greatly, much lower transaction fees, since it's a escalable Bitcoin solution.

I think it's about sending RGB tokens using the lightning network. This is similar to Taproot Assets.
For most part to me this sounds like sending shitcoins on top of lightning, but I could be wrong.
