Imagine having a bag of cash and never using it.
Bitcoin and monero are peer to peer digital cash. If you're not using it, what's the point?
I use Bitcoin all the time. And if I can't use it directly, I sell some for the currency I need. USD or EUR.

If you don't sell bitcoin ever, you're short bitcoin. Means you don't have your entire net worth in bitcoin.

I'd use one or the other, unless you're in China like me where my network is on a router level VPN, so I can't help but use both sometimes.
