I think we will have to wait until many people download and use the DeepSeek search engine. I think it looks more like an automated search engine to me. But, then again, I have not downloaded it and will not, until somebody takes it and modifies it and it’s EULA to something reasonable.

Is DeepSeek a Sputnik Moment?

It can’t be run on typical hardware afaik - you still need powerful gpus. You can afford the hardware you’d need, but it’s not cheap and it’s certainly not running on smartphones yet.
