So they did a promo video to explain the new All Star Game format. The no game clock, no shooting clock, first to 40 wins part is interesting. Hopefully it incentives the players to play defense and make the games fun to watch. What do you guys think? Either way, trying something new is greatly welcome as the previous few All Star Games were horrible.

Nice. @Undisciplined also did a nice job explaining it on the pod. I am hopeful.
Haven't listen to this week's pod yet. Been a busy weekend. I'll try to get to it sometime this week during work.
Great you can hear how wrong we were about yesterday’s NFL games.
Which of the TNT crew do you think will do the worst job picking his team?
Hmmm, hard to say, but I think Chuck might do worst. He's been pretty bad at picking winning teams, so I think that naturally extends to picking winning players.
Shaq's bias towards bigs and away from shooting might be to his benefit this year.
I think the other 2 value bigs too, since they played through the big dominant era. The draft should be interesting to watch.
another new format? all star ratings must be awful
They had been awful. Players messing around and not treating the game seriously, it was pretty much a joke the past several years.
and the regular season has become an extension of the all star game or vice versa
Ratings are low because the games are not fun to watch unless you are betting
Some teams are still fun to watch.
