He is a great player. My buddy has known him since they were kids. My buddy is a few years older than Brent but he is close friends with Brent's cousin so he knows the family very well. He went to Burnes' wedding. He was hoping he would win a cup at some point so he would bring it back to Barrie, where they are both from, and he could party with the Cup.

I have a distant relative who is a former NHLer. I think a cousin third time removed or something like that. Never met him though.

Yup. Sad but true. All that athletic talent wasted somewhere along the line of my great grandfather’s side of the family and none left for me.
