Earlier today it was reported by some in the NY media that talks between the Toronto Blue Jays and power hitting, free agent first baseman, Pete Alonso were heating up, but recent reports from the Toronto media seem to imply talks have not advanced.

Although I would like the Jays to get Alonso if the term isn't too long, I never thought it was a great fit because he would primarily be a DH and they like having optionality at DH.

We will see how it plays out but my guess is the only Polar Bear we will be seeing in Toronto is at the Toronto Zoo.
