I've been a web dweller since the year 2000, once we were connected I couldn't keep away from the damn thing. I have noticed a few iterations of digital money during that time. It was around 2010 or so when I first noticed Bitcoin.

At first, it was just being asked for on file sharing sites. Some time in 2011-2012, I moved into a flat and learned that you can buy drugs on silk road in exchange for Bitcoin. I still didn't get into it then, but I noticed the price had skyrocketed. It really felt too good to be true.

In between I gave mining and shitcoining a go. The shitcoining didn't work out.
