I just noticed that if you highlight some text in a comment and then tap reply, SN automatically inputs your selection as a quote in your comment.

Excellent job @k00b and @ek!

(I wouldn't mind if it worked on posts as well, but I can see how that is more complicated)

I think the difference for posts is, you need to click Quote Reply from the overflow menu after highlighting the text, since the reply input field is already open by default.
