Hello! A new bitcoin co-working and events venue is opening next month in San Francisco. The space, named Presidio Bitcoin, aims to be a central hub for the existing bitcoin community and inspire new talent and funding from Silicon Valley.
This 4,500 sq. ft. space will offer high-quality workstations, regular community events, a recording studio, and a dedicated podcast. Memberships will be available to bitcoin open-source contributors and early-stage entrepreneurs. The goal is to foster a greater sense of local community, amplify innovation, and promote knowledge sharing across the bitcoin ecosystem and related protocols.
Presidio Bitcoin started as a passion project spearheaded by a group of bitcoiners who now comprise the board of directors and membership committee. Similar spaces in Nashville, Austin, New York City, and cities worldwide have proven successful at promoting networking and amplifying innovation.
Most of the buildout is complete and now we're looking for art to display on the walls. The office location is unique. The Presidio is a national park and former U.S. military base. We want our decor to reflect both our surroundings, particularly the nature aspect, and of course bitcoin (but maybe in a more subtle way).
There are a few large walls that are screaming for some nice art. We're exploring custom pieces and also existing designs. If you're interested in helping us out or getting your work featured, please reach out or send an email to hello@presidiobitcoin.org so we can see if it's a good fit.

Presidio Bitcoin’s origin story Similar spaces in Nashville, Austin, New York City, and cities worldwide have proven successful and inspired this project. Even though the Bay Area has a high concentration of software developers, bitcoiners represent only a small percentage. Until now, they haven’t had an office designed to meet their needs.
This philanthropic initiative is possible thanks to founding donors Mark Casey and Wences Casares. Mark Casey, Steve Lee, and Haley Berkoe make up the board and have been responsible for Presidio Bitcoin’s early development.
