Just a clarification on pledge #2 - free Ross - it was a full, unconditional pardon, not just a commutation. A pardon is the more forgiving of the two. A commutation takes away the punishment, but still leaves a conviction in place and the crime on record. A pardon is like the whole thing never even happened...no crime, no record, no punishment.
