I've always enjoyed Citadel Dispatch, as I'm sure many of us do, so I want more and ideally with some fresh and lesser known voices. What distinguishes CD is that it's squarely tech focused, not much macro/culture/politics stuff, without venturing too deep into protocol stuff. In other words, it's technical but primarily at the user level, at the level most self-custodial non-programmer bitcoiners are expected to be at. Odell is also pretty even tempered, so even when he's prescriptive, I don't feel like he's going to whip me with a spoon.
There's also Bitcoin Review, which is great and slightly more technical, but it doesn't satisfy my wish for variety. It feels a bit like it's from the same universe as CD if that makes sense. Both hosts are just incredibly successful and have been there and done that, and went there and did much of it together.
TFTC and Stephan Livera are great, but both branch out from tech with some regularity so I tend to view their podcasts almost like more learned/alternative What Bitcoin Dids.
So it goes for most of the bitcoin podcasts that I'm aware of. They're either:
- mixing culture, tech, political, and/or macro guests
- very technical protocol stuff
- strictly one of macro/political/cultural
What are some lesser known podcasts that are like CD? I'll pay 1k sats to any that meet the following criteria:
- technical bitcoin-only content but only IT/sysadmin/user-level technicality
- host is more of a pleb than anything else
- they post at least one podcast per week
- english speaking (sorry I no speaka no other languages)
