Baby Stacker Corner #2

It's been two weeks since #838656. I skipped a week because I forgot, and while debating whether to admit my mistake and post a day later on Monday, the entire week slipped by.
I think from now on, I will target one post a week ±3 days. This means you will never know if I will post today until I did. Doesn't this sound like fun??

This time we only have 18 stackers to welcome, even though it's been two weeks and not just one week like last time. Between the first and second post, there were 35 new stackers. How this number changes between weeks will be interesting to observe.
In the spirit of my Z2Z series where I continuously tried to improve the series and the process around it, I created a script that generates the table below and slightly adjusted the format: I made the dates link to the items.
Let me know if you have any other ideas I should consider.

Now to the new stackers1 that might wonder why they have been mentioned: here's what I mentioned the last and first time:
[...] one of the strengths of SN is that the site we're building is also the feedback channel from/to our users. It cannot be understated how valuable this is as was mentioned in this panel at 16:56.
So why not play to our strengths and create regular posts that welcome new stackers?
At the same time:
  • we can ask them where they found out about SN
  • ask them how the (non-existent) onboarding was
  • ask if they have any good or bad feedback
  • give them another chance to introduce themselves
  • they can see how other new stackers in their "cohort" "performed"
Additionally, old stackers can:
  • talk about their interactions with them
  • check them out and engage with them
  • zap the ones worth zapping
I would appreciate if you read the questions directed at you in the quote above and answer them! I also have an additional question for the new stackers:
Do or did you use nostr? if so, how would you compare your experience on SN with nostr?
Meme of the week(s):

Footnotes

  1. Maybe I should immediately address the new stackers and move whatever I would say in the intro afterwards?

I'm curious about the answer to your nostr question, too. I understand, conceptually, why nostr is interesting. Practically speaking, it has been not interesting in the least, and the gushing makes me feel like I'm being gaslit.
Although maybe that's because I think about more things than just bitcoin -- if what you want is infinite btc apologetics, maybe it's a utopia.
