I'm not very optimistic about SNL skits these days, but last night's Chapelle skits seem like he wrote them. They remind me of the skit show that made Chapelle so famous.
In general, when they bring in a guy with sketch experience, I assume he'll have a hand in things to a greater degree (similarly, I assume all stand-ups bring their own monologues, while actors usually don't).
These were solid, and better, I think, than the ones he did last time he hosted.
Chapelle could teach that whole crew a thing or ten about comedy.
These were not even remotely funny, Chapelle's best days are over if he has to show up on SNL
