Yeah, exactly. The math just doesn't work out for it. On the other hand running the Phoenix wallet (where the node runs on your phone) is quite effective, but it has some downsides in terms of privacy and "blockability".

It has blossom and strfry. Other than that this is a competition to zero. I don't know any further details 🙂
All of these hosted nodes are around $20/m, which is a lot imo.
