I have 16 CCs currently. We have a lot of work to do to make it better and easier for unmotivated and non-technical people to receive/send sats easily, but it's not a world ending calamity.

Yes. If people are unable to send money to you, you get sent CCs. A lightning node must be on to receive bitcoin.

Why do CC's appear? Is it because my lightning node is turned off?
