Celebrities have tried. They did in 2021, with the launch of celebrity NFTs (rappers, singers, tv personalities) for example.
However they were later sued by the SEC for securities fraud.

Except D Trump now runs the executive branch and has so much influence over governmental agencies he can.... do whatever he wants. The SEC cannot and will not come after him because he's... the fucking president.
