Started reading this and figured it would be either the typical whiny fannish complaint (he's doing this interview instead of writing today!) or the snark of someone who was clearly never a Martin fan to begin with. It's neither. It's someone who's clearly incredibly invested in Martin's writing, and who also has done a very thorough analysis not only of Martin's actions and choices over the years, but at how the books themselves are creating issues. It's a long piece, but well worth it if you've read any of the books (and maybe even if you haven't).
Guy seems like a giant douchebag. My rebuttal would be this classic.

He's definitely a douchebag, I'm just not entirely sure he's wrong.
That piece you linked to is a classic, though Gaiman's not an author a lot of folks want to hear from right now.

I gave up on GRR Martin ever finishing after A Feast for Crows.
