Fun and Controversial Pizza History

Italians stole the pizza from the greeks, brought it to Naples and in June 1889, when the Royal Palace of Capodimonte commissioned the Neapolitan pizzaiolo Raffaele Esposito to create a pizza in honor of Queen Margherita visit1.
Pizza's etymology traces its origins to the Byzantine Greek ฯ€ฮฏฯ„ฯ„ฮฑ (pitta), which comes from either the Ancient Greek ฯ€ฮนฮบฯ„ฮฎ (pikte) or ฯ€ฮฏฯƒฯƒฮฑ (pissa)2.
The Hawaiian pizza is actually invented by a chef in Canada3! Now in the UK someone is trying to get rid of it selling one hawaiian pizza for 125$
