i have been a lifelong napper and it's the best thing ever. my only thing close to a superpower is, i can take a nap almost on command.
i especially find at almost 40, if I'm not getting at least 7+ hours, my mental and general performance is shit, anything below 7 and a nap is a literal must. A quote i am reminded of - 'People who can not find time for rest, sooner or later, will have to find time for illness.' IMO a nap is a pretty good rest.
when i was a teenager studying Russian at home, i would sometimes literally stop mid-reading something, nap for 30-40 minutes, then pick right back up, totally refreshed. i think the micro sleep also helped me retain more too.

If you're not paying for health (gym, food etc), you're paying with illness!
