I don't think that is unexpected though .. an "everything app" / superapp would likely have a payment method that is borderless / global.
A pitch deck shown to investors earlier this year outlined Musk’s vision for Twitter, including adding PayPal-style payments between users and cutting back on advertising in favour of charging some users a subscription. He projected that more than 100 million users would sign up to an X subscription by 2028.
Just because a corporation “can” create such an entity, doesn’t necessarily mean it “should.” Once upon a time, long long ago, we had anti-trust legislation and a justice department that would enforce it.
