Last weekend I was hanging out with two of my friends. One I got orange-pilled last year in the fall. He is using nostr by now, has his cold storage, is stacking on peach and is doing his research and work!
I am so damn proud of him.
The other one has no idea about bitcoin. He just heard about it and knows as much as it is maybe an alternative to an ETF.
So we hang out for a day and at some point the orange pilled guy (let's call him Dave) tells me that he was able to get the gift for a friend of ours that we were talking about and that I owe him half the price of the gift.
No problem, lightning or on-chain?
He was okay with lightning and I just zapped him the amount over primal on nostr.
The no-coiner (let's call him Bob) looked at us and was confused. What had happened? What kind of payment method is this? A new PayPal or something?
We told him it's bitcoin. The magical Internet money Bob has heard of but never saw.
And all of a sudden he was more than interested and now he is asking a lot of questions and he is super curious and he wants to meet again this weekend so I can show him how to use Lightning and how to get sats.
That's the way how one should orange-pill people. Not even trying, just living it around them and they take it up out of curiosity!
It's so much easier. You don't have to convince anybody. They just have to see the magic with their own eyes and they will be curious about what is happening around them.
Since I have orange-pilled Dave last year he has orange-pilled some friends. We will get Bob next weekend. Our community is growing and more and more people will be self-responsible bitcoiner who will have a bright future!
So happy to see the change around me and to be able to help with education!
What's your last orange-pilling story?
