Remember when people were freaking out about ordinals and NFTs on bitcoin?
Remember when fees went bananas?
Yeah, that kinda went nowhere.
Guess what, bitcoin isn't so easy to kill.
It ended up being a good thing IMO.
Pushed everyone to become more efficient.
There's a lesson here. Chill out. Its gonna be OK. Bitcoin's incentives work.
What did you learn during the ordinals freak out?
Fees have been remarkably low and steady during this bull!
I learned to...

Lower than I had ever expected. I wonder if it's because speculators are using ETFs now where before they had to buy Onchain.
ETFs as an unexpected Layer 2 (or 3?) to unclog the chain :P

I actually don't know what they do.
reply
Indeed. I don't know this but I imagine exchanges have learned to be much more efficient with transactions. Weird how incentives work.
reply
What I learned is there are always new people coming into the scene trying to 'save' Bitcoin.
They always have a hidden agenda -- selling proprietary namespaces; selling shittokens; selling NFTs; selling bullshit.
Ignore them.

Stay the course. The rest is noise by tourists. I have my land and keep buying more daily!

That was going on when I started getting into bitcoin. My attitude then was "Everything is good for bitcoin."
If bitcoin is what we say it is, then it comes out of each trial stronger than it went in: economic hormesis, if you will.
If bitcoin isn't what we say it is, better to find out now and move on to something else.

Ordinals came and went, but Bitcoin stayed undefeated. Strong hands win, always. Keep stacking and chill.

Also, ordinals demonstrated that having a limiting block space was the right thing to do.

As systems progress and adoption increases, energy becomes conserved and the system grows more efficient over time. The natural optimization allows for greater output with less input, adhering to the principles of scaling and sustainability.

FUCK'EM'ALL
I agree... Kepford is concerned about losers and fees. That is a hell of an upgrade from "libertarianism" posts. btw... libertarianism is fucking dead. Is time to move on to the next level.
reply
I never was concerned about the loser and the fees. The opposite. I'm not a libertarian either.

You are not wrong.

btw... when I see somebody saying that are "libertarians"... I am just laughing. They are clueless...

I din't really learn it then, since I already knew it, but it was nicely tested and proven that as long as we follow the rules, we can use Bitcoin permission-less, and nobody can prevent us from doing it, even if it's to inscribe stupid things into the blockchain. :-)
