About the Role
We’re seeking a versatile Technical Compliance Engineer to take on a dynamic, hybrid role that bridges technical innovation with compliance systems. This position is perfect for a self-driven individual ready to learn, adapt, and contribute to both compliance frameworks and core product development.
While prior experience with compliance tools and frameworks is a plus, a willingness to learn and grow in this area is more important. You'll also have the unique opportunity to contribute directly to Pubky Core and Pubky Nexus, leveraging your development skills on impactful projects.

Responsibilities
Responsibilities
  • Maintain and integrate third-party compliance tools (e.g., Besedo, Google SafeSearch Detection, Hash Matching Service) into our existing systems.
  • Design, develop, and maintain internal tools to monitor, manage, and enforce compliance policies.
  • Automate compliance workflows to minimize manual intervention and maximize efficiency.
  • Build and implement solutions for secure data storage, access management, and GDPR compliance.
  • Oversee compliance-related data workflows, including logging and real-time monitoring.
  • Partner with compliance officers and leadership to translate policies into actionable technical solutions.
  • Ensure all systems align with regulatory requirements and internal standards.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to embed compliance features seamlessly into our products.
  • Provide technical support to ensure compliance tools are effective, reliable, and user-friendly.
Skills and Qualifications
  • Technical Expertise: Proficiency in programming languages like Rust or similar.
  • Data Security: Experience in secure data processing, logging, and access management.
  • Development Skills: Familiarity with database management, APIs, and automation tools.
  • Problem-Solving Mindset: Ability to translate compliance policies into efficient, scalable technical solutions.
  • Understanding of Standards (a plus): Familiarity with compliance frameworks such as GDPR, content moderation policies, or similar.
Bonus Skills
  • Hands-on experience with compliance tools (e.g., Besedo) or admin tool development.
  • Exposure to decentralized or peer-to-peer (P2P) systems.
