When my friends and I moved to Los Angeles (early 1980s), we lived in the garage of a house in Pacific Palisades rented by another group of friends. I wonder if the house was damaged. I don't recall the address, but I do recall that you could take a (long) walk to a bar that was right on the water called Gladstone's For Fish, or something like that.
